Founded in 1897, St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church is a small parish in the Woodlawn neighborhood of the Bronx just over the Yonkers border and part of the Episcopal Diocese of NY. Our mission is to nurture a diverse and welcoming community, committed to following fearlessly wherever God is leading us and make Disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of Bronx and the world. We have operated a largely volunteer run community thrift shop since the 1990’s.
We have daily AA programs and host a number of youth and community serving programs in our undercroft. We are starting a Community Garden in the summer of 2025, and plan to offer more programs such as musical performances, meditation, yoga, crafting and sacred readings.
